How to Use the Power of Self Reflection

All it takes is a few moments to sit in silence and reflect on who you are and where you want to be in your life. This may take some time if you're not used to self-reflection, but it's necessary to truly discover what you want to do with your life.

If you need some self-reflection starters here are a few questions you can ask yourself:

* What values and principles are dear to me?
* What have I learned from my most recent successes and failures?
* How do I limit myself and what will I do, today, about it?
* Do I have a sense of mission in my life and work?
* Where is my life out of balance and what will I do about it?

You may want to write down your answers to these questions so you can go over them as often as you need to.

When you answer these self-reflection questions, remember to focus on the truth, while staying positive. Many of us have a tendency to tear ourselves apart when we reflect but, again, this is not the purpose! Self-reflection must be positive!

To help you stay focused and positive, I encourage you to continually use positive affirmations to help you get into a self-reflective, positive mood.

Here are a few positive affirmations to help you get started:

* Silence is rewarding, so I indulge in it as often as I possibly can.
* When I take time to reflect on my route, I am happy with how much I have accomplished.
* I can sit back and enjoy all of the wondrous things that life has to offer me.
* By pausing and clearing my mind, I am making room for bright, fresh ideas.
* My inner positive thoughts help to create my outer positive actions.

Repeat these affirmations throughout your day to help you enter into a reflective state of mind.
